It's Giveaway time!!!

The enormous and massive Bloggy giveaway is here again!

I am giving away a set of three DVDs that are not getting any love in my house. We are moving to Kansas in a month (breathe deeply and try not to panic!) and I am trying to get rid of stuff that we do not use any more. You will receive a copy of Franklin and the Turtle Lake Treasure, Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Kids and Good Morning Maisy.

Because there was a sad lack of hand made goods last time I decided to make sure that I give something hand made away again. You could be the winner of a super cute stegosaurus made by yours truly. I knit it for Evan's birthday, but poor Steggie ended up being buried deeply in the stuffed animal basket never to be seen again. I think that he needs a more loving home with a kid that will appreciate him.

Now for the nuts and bolts.
  • Please make sure that I have a way to contact you should you win. Make sure that if you don't have an available blogger id that you leave your email in your comment.
  • Make sure to read the entire post about the prize and answer the question I ask. Any non complying entry will be deleted with extreme prejudice.
  • As always this is open to all readers, even that creepy guy in Iran that goggled a rather weird term to get to my blog.
  • Winners will be announced on Saturday.
How to enter: Come up with a better name than Steggie for the stegosaurus. Come on and make me laugh. The best name wins him and a random entrant will win the DVDs.

Aww. Cute! Every time I look at him, he just screams to me to be named "Stubby." But those legs are so cute!

windycindy said...

I have to go with the name "Spike!"
You made a very cute dinosaur. I like him. Please enter me in your drawing. Thanks, Cindi

How about Walter? He looks like a Walter.

Thanks for entering me!

Great giveaway! My daughter suggests "cookie pants" and I say "poopy drops" lol. Thanks!

Valerie said...

I love the name Malcom. He is so darn cute!

Lainey-Paney said...

:)
I would call him "Walnut".
Although the stegosaurus weighed about 10 tons, it's brain was only the size of a walnut.
so...maybe we'd call him "Slow-Poke." Not only were they mentally slow, but surely anything weighing 10 tons didn't move THAT fast...

:p

my four year old daughter suggests "blue scale" because he has, you know, blue scales... it's not a very clever name, so i should mention my son has a similar stegosauras that his grandma made... we could have a herd!! just think about it... his own herd...

Hélène said...

Stan the Steg.

bubba struck me as a cute name. hope i win!

Qtpies7 said...

Bumpy Back. Stubby. Dino.

Not very original, am I? LOL

Stephanie said...

Let's see maybe Sammy the Steg! Please enter me!!

Stacy said...

Bob is always a good name. BTW I moved to Kansas 5 years ago from California and it wasn't as bad as I thought!!

Joanna said...

For some reason, Buford comes to mind. But then again, I don't get to name the kids stuffed toys. It's either them or my husband who names everybody... I just get to name the kids :-)

Tracy said...

How 'bout "Pickles"?

Tanya said...

Pokey because he is big and moves slowly and also because of this spikes. :)

Becky N. said...

Kittysaur?
I dunno. I'm no good at names (we never name our toys over here! Baby doll, Kitty Cat, even technical dinosaur names, usually!

But I want to enter because I think the little stegosaurus is absolutely adorable, and both my daughter and son just love dinos! And I'm never against a few new movies, either, and those three shows are all tolerable in my house. :)

Ginny said...

I'd name him Russ

Anonymous said...

I actually like Steggie, but I would call him

Extinct

Richelle said...

Bumpy!

danandmarsh said...

Simply "POKEY"

Thanks for entering my giveaway!

Kyra said...

I like Steggie, but if my son was to name him today he would become "booger"

Michelle Olsen Sasak said...

Stinkysaurus Rocks!

The DVDs look wonderful too.

My youngest would get a kick out of Steggie (I still think that name is adorable!)

Anonymous said...

Yarnasauras. And how cute is that?

Anonymous said...

awww Rocky ... Rocky I he is adorable! I so need to knit more toys!

Momnerd said...

I have four boys ages 1 (twins), 3 and 7 and they are all addicted to dinosaurs in a bad way! That is the cutest thing ever and even if I don't win I want to know how to make him. I asked my boys what we should name him and one said Cuper and the other said cute-a-saurus. Oh, I hope we win this one!

Marcia said...

Hmm how about Charlie? The man that named them in the first place was Othniel Charles Marsh. Let's reverse it and name the steggy after the man who named them! haha

Shannon said...

He looks like a Sheldon to me, lol.

SO cute!

brooke said...

What a cute dino! I would probably call him Fred. He looks like a Fred to me.

Heather said...

Have you ever seen the cartoon 3...2...1...Penguins? The opening always cracks me up. It says their names are something like Zidgel, Midgel, Didgel (or something like that) then there's a pause and the last penguin's name? Kevin.

So he looks like a Kevin to me.

CanCan said...

This is sooo cute! I love knit toys to the point where I am dying to learn to knit myself but I can't find a teacher. I tried to learn how to "cast on" on youtube but it's very confusing to me. Normally I am in intelligent person but I must have a knitting learning disability or something.
I would name the stegasaurus "Biscuit". It conjures up images of a country bumpkin with no teeth. Simple, yet loveable.
Or maybe "Sachi" it means "joy" in Japanese. This would bring joy to my son! Or would it bring him Sachi? Or even Sake, which is rice wine?
That dinosaur better NOT serve alcohol to my preschooler!

Marly said...

I'm pretty sure my son would call him "Blue". He's trying so hard to say that word! :)

Superdumb Supervillain said...

"fluffy"? He is really adorable.

Where in Kansas? I'm in Wichita.

stop by and enter my contests sometime!

bethany said...

How about Ziggy? I'm really bad at coming up with stuff like this :)

Erica said...

That is adorable!!

I think he looks like a "Tony".

Keryn said...

I'm pretty sure he might be a "Ralph". Because my husband is always trying to convince me to name a child that, and it's NEVER gonna happen. So maybe a stuffed dinosaur will help him feel better...

My email addy is in my blogger profile, just in case I win.

Jessica said...

Let's see... how about, Mr. Green Jeans.

kraziblinkgurli said...

ok. so i just called my daughter over and asked her, hey sweety look at this dinosaur. How about Lumpy Lyle!

If it were up to me, I'd name him "Yolen" (do you know the kids' author, Jane Yolen? Well this little stego is the same colors as the dino on her book, "How Do Dinosaurs Learn to Count?" - just one in a whole series of dino books she's written).

But I asked my two year old son, and he growled and then started making exaggerated biting motions/sounds. So I guess he'd call him "Rawr-chomp-chomp." Not very literary, but pretty good for a 2 year old, right? :-)

Dawn said...

I would call him Oliver. I have 4 boys and 3 of them are in-love with dinosaurs. They would love this little guy to death.

aahcoffee said...

I'd have to go with "Steg" or "Stegs". He's just so cute!

But I like the name Steggie! I guess if I have to pick a name it would be Bart.

Julie Donahue said...

I think he should be called, "Stella" ('cause he is really a she).

Anonymous said...

He looks like a Larry.
thanks!

I have to go with Zach. My 3 year old is in the habit of naming objects after classmates (she recently named her comforter Zach and sheets Isabel. Don't ask)

So, I'm stealing her naming tactics..and you have Zach the dinosaur.

Also...thank you for visiting my blog!

I am also a California girl living in the Midwest. I know just how you feel (deep breathing and all). Good luck. :)
