I got a wild idea and came up with a plan to make Sonic the Hedgehog costumes for the older two boys. They love the game and the cartoon show (thank goodness for Netflix and the ability to see older shows). I designed the hood on my own but the rest was modified clothing. Danny is Daniel the Tiger from the show Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. He is a major fan and had a fun time being his favorite character. Lily is what I call an 80 aerobic instructor. I twas crazy fun fuzzing her hair up instead of what I normally do which is to tame it in to nice curls. She loved the leg warmers so much that I am thinking of making her a few more pairs.

I am back
It has been a long time since I updated last. Having four kids keeps me crazy busy and I haven't felt the craving to write that I used to have. However I think it is important to keep a record of the going on in the family so here I am again.
Lily just had her second birthday last month. It is amazing to me that she is already two. She was such a terrible sleeper that her first six months of life seemed to drag on and now suddenly she is a toddler with her own opinions on things. I have been trying not to box her into being a girly girl but she has come by it honestly. I have had to put my food town and insist that she has her hair arranged every morning because she inherited my mother-in-law's tightly curly hair. I just can't let her leave the house with crazy hair and if I skip a day of combing and arranging it you can really tell. Some days I actually do it twice because after nap time it gets really crazy again.
Lily also looves shoes. They were one of her favorite teething toys and now she really appreciates them as accessories to her outfits. She will take her shoes out of the basket and try them all on one pair at a time. Along with shoes she also likes picking out her outfit for the morning. I will show her a shirt and she will bat it out of my hands if she is not feeling it or yank it out of my hands if she wants to wear it.
She isn't prissy though because that girl will get down and dirty with the best of them. She also enjoys playing with cars. It has been amazingly fun having a little girl and I am so glad I got the chance. I am also glad that the baby factory is closed down and I can start looking beyond having an infant. I am ready to move on to the next phase of life, whatever that may be.
