Kid show detox

After a long weekend of humoring a sick Evan and letting him watch all the Thomas he wanted I need some detox from kids shows. My brain is filled with the inane songs that keep repeating over and over. I am also developing the sinking feeling that I am becoming as obsessed as Evan with Thomas.

For my birthday I asked my husband to let me use the money he would have spent on a present to decorate the boy's bedroom Thomas style. It has been quite fun and challenging working with a tight budget. I have been keeping my eyes our for things that I can use to make the room which means that my mind is dwelling a lot on Thomas as well. I think I need a vacation from Thomas, not that Evan will let me. Maybe it will lessen in me once the room is done.

I guess singing the Thomas theme song would be bad for me to do at this point, yes?

I understand wanting some detox! I've needed it for about 5.5 years now...lol

My little cousin Gabe LOVED Thomas. I went to visit them a few years ago, and every time we were in the car we had to listen to the Thomas tape. I vaguely remember some song about not being afraid of the dark. It was sang by kids with British accents, so it sounded like "don't be afraid of the DOCK" LOL!

I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of the Thomas room in the future :)! I'm sure your boys will love it!

Now I have that damn Thomas theme song stuck in my head, too, and it's been two years since my son was into that show. *throws Gordon and Percy engines on the floor and stomps away*
