Knitting fool

If I have seemed to be different with my blogging it is because I have been on a knitting spree. I got tired of waiting for wool soakers to fall into my lap and was too poor to buy them. I got to it and started knitting up a storm. I know have a nice pile of diaper covers but the bug has bitten me hard and I am now tinkering with the patterns. I wish there was a way to knit and blog at the same time, heck I would take being able to knit and read a book at the same time. Sadly all I can do is watch TV and knit at the same time. I am catching up on a great tv show called Heros thanks to the Watch It Now feature on Netflix.

Here is an action shot of one of the soakers. This was made from the wool that I bought in Utah. It is a super neat color, each strand is a different color and then it is twisted into one big strand to knit with. It looks like there is a lot of green but the big strand is actually only made with one strand of green, the rest is differing shades of blue. I loved the yarn because it reminded me of the ocean.

Reminds me of the ocean too! I have Heroes waiting for me on TIVO.....it may wait a long time.

So glad to hear that I'm not the only one that gets all hot and bothered in the grocery store.

I plan to take up knitting again as we approach the slightly cooler season. I tend to stick with knitting boring old squares to eventually make into another quilt. Not terribly productive, but I like to see the pile grow higher coz I need that kind of immediate gratification!
Cheers

i'm about half-way through and i'm feeling myself become a little bored with it, but i think something huge is about to happen. i hope so, cuz i do like the book so far.

Nice work! and pretty colors too.

I can only knit and watch TV as well. I've only just started knitting, and so far have made a case for my PDA LOL.

I am having fits with this chenille yarn I got. I can do the knit stitch just fine, but when I switch to garter stitch it locks up and breaks UGH. I've started this like 10 times @@. So my MP3 case will just be in knit stitch oh well.

Heroes ROCKS.

Evan the underwear model. This picture will haunt him for the rest of his career. They will put it on "Before they were famous"

I knit and read blogs ... then I put down the sticks post a comment, then knit and read ... harder to read a book, but I have a book holder from college days that works. Much easier to watch tv and movies though. OH and a passenger in a car ... I knit a lot then too!

The soaker looks FAB! I am so glad you started knitting your own!

Hello,
Long time lurker here. I love reading your blog by the way! Just wondering, would you consider knitting a pair for my son? I'd pay of course! Do you sell on eBay by chance? I love those colors! Thanks!

Well Anon if you email me I think that we could arrange something. I can't sell them since I do not own the rights to do that with the patterns but I could give you one if you supply the yarn or at the very least compensate me for the cost of yarn. I am still fine tuning things so I do need the practice.
