Harry the Garden Gnome. I ruined a lot of good felt trying to get that hat right and ended up making an emergency craft store run for a pattern and some more fabric.
Evan the skeleton. The top was bought by Auntie Pompom at Target and I did the leg bones myself with glow in the dark fabric paint. I thought I did a pretty accurate rendition of the leg bones if I do say so myself. There was no pale face makeup because I knew Evan would smear it (I learned my lesson from last years whiskers debacle).
Awesome Mom as a Scottish Lass. This was supposed to be my costume last year. The bodice ended up being too small and I am not skilled enough to fix that on my own so I just skipped it. I need to get stronger elastic in the skit and hem it. I kept walking over it all evening and almost lost it a few times (good thing I was wearing a long slip under it).

We did makeup on the kiddos on Monday night (for a haunted house) and decided against it for last night.

Ahh the Garden Gnome. My favorite creature.
you all look so cute!
my danile was a skeleton for halloween one year. it was a play on his nutritionist's concern that he was not thriving. my boy had an office visit on the day before so he went dressed in costume as skin n' bones!
Wow, those legs are awesome. I wish I could paint that well, but, alas . . .
