My mind is officially boggled
I read in the local newspaper that there are six Starbucks in my small town and one in the adjoining and much smaller town. That is 7 with in a ten minute drive of my house. Maybe it is just me but that seems very excessive. Maybe I just do not get it since I am not a coffee drinker. What next? Will there be one in every house in ten years?

Man, I want to live where you live! Because I AM a coffee drinker (decaf, but still, coffee!)
And yet here there are none convenient to my house. The closest is about 15 minutes away. But there is one right next to my work.
It is not uncommon here to have two Starbucks across the street from one another. It's crazy! Thank goodness I don't drink coffee.
hehe and where I am there are three in two blocks!!! I love it! One is opening a drive thru!!! Mommy Heaven!
In seattle/tacoma there is one at every corner!
i WISH I had ONE Starbucks here. Package one of those up and send it to NW Ohio, ok?
I used to not be a coffee drinker but then I figured out how to dump a butt load of creamer and flavored syrup and I am hooked. But as far as Starbucks goes, I believe it is a plot to quietly take over the world. The coffee is drugged or something. Why else would you pay $3 for one cup? It ain't that good!
That is not uncommon... especially considering where you live. It could be worse, look at Seattle. Every other store is a coffee shop of some sort.
Also, they do have some yummy non-coffee drinks. I love their Tazzleberry frozen drinks... YUM!
It's an interesting phenomenon, for sure. They'll put stores on adjoining corners apparently cuz folks won't deviate even a bit to go out of their way.
Even though it's not Thursday, I don't believe you either! And I like this saying more:
Better late than....
pregnant!
ha!
And... I am seeing Starbucks popping up all over the place here too. There's one inside Target where I shopped today. I don't drink coffee and it smells nasty, but the coffe cakes don't look 1/2 bad. ;-)

There are Starbucks popping up all over the place here too. There's one inside the Target where I shopped today and guess what? There's a large Starbucks right across the street from there! I don't drink coffee and can't stand the smell, but the coffee cakes don't look 1/2 bad.
ooooops! I didn't mean to post that twice. I thought I had lost the original post and I searched all the windows I had open at the time - and Jess was bugging me and I could not for the life of me find it! I figured I had accidentally closed the window before publishing so I retyped it. haha Oh well, it doesn't always pay to try to mulit-task - especially late at night.
