One more week

It is one short week until Christmas. I have yet to even send out any Christmas cards. It is the thought that counts right?

Since I have become a mother my mind always turns to Mary during the Christmas season. There are a lot of pressures on any parent, but it must have been pretty scary at times knowing that you were going to be the mother of Christ. I wonder how she managed to do it.

I don't think we're getting cards out this year, either. I guess I could just mass email a picture out...

I am so in awe of Mary. I mean a manger?!?! And all not wed and Jesus! How much pressure is that?!?! Talk about Mommy Guilt!

One more week!!! Now if I could only sleep!

We just sent out ours this week! So you aren't behind. And you know what? So what? If it doesn't get done, I say c'est la vie! I remembered not getting a card from one of my cousins last year JUST this year when we did get one from him.

I have to finish up shopping!

I bet she didn't quite get it. That would be my guess.

And only half of my cards are out, I keep stalling on the rest...

I don't DO Christmas cards.

And I think Mary must have been upheld by God not to shake, slap, or otherwise injure her child when he went missing and turned up in the Temple...

She managed just like every other parent. She took each challenge as it came and did the best she could.
