Next month

So on Friday we finally (!!!111!!!!!!!!!) learned that we were going to be graciously allowed to stay here for another year. (Imagine that sentence with a massive helping of sarcasm) My husband thinks that the person in charge of deciding who moves where ran out of money in the budget to move people and caved in and let us stay. Thank goodness for some budget cuts I guess. It sucks that we will have to face yet another year of wondering where we will be moving to and how long the idiot in charge of deciding that will take to actually write the orders out (he has been late every year, if he was a civilian he would have been fired for incompetence by now). Not that I am pissed off or bitter or anything. Nooo not me!

Guess what I am going to be doing next month on May 6th. You are right, I am going to be having a baby. That is when my c-section is scheduled and since both of my boys have been stubborn and had to be evicted I am not anticipating going early. I was kind of hoping that he would be born the 5th so that his birthday would be 5-5 but 5-6 is still pretty cool. It is kind of relieving to be able to say that I only have so many more appointments before the baby comes. I am looking forward to the end of all the discomfort that has come with sleeping at night. Some mornings I wake up so sore that it feels like I have not been sleeping at all. I think I may be doing exercise videos in my sleep. I am looking forward to a nice bowl of cereal in the morning.

I have been having some odd food cravings of late. I think I could eat sauteed mushrooms all day long. Another more urgent craving has been for boneless buffalo wings. I have been eating them for lunch almost every day. Even though they burn my stomach I can't get enough. Luckily both of my cravings are low carb so I am free to indulge in them (within reason of course). I wonder what it is about them that is driving me nuts.

With Zain, I ate mushrooms daily. I had to have them. I can't believe it is next month. It seems to have gone so fast, for me anyway ;)

So glad that you don't have to move this Summer.
Those are very interesting cravings!
It's 74 degrees outside and I'm starting to crave ice cream.

Glad to know you're staying! Sympathy with the frustration, and congratulations on 5-6 upcoming. Maybe your first two were just waiting for the eviction notice to be filed in triplicate. ;)

Sympathy with the cravings. I suppose you could try experimenting and to isolate the cause of craving (for instance, is it the chicken or the buffalo wing sauce?). But then you have to ask yourself, is this really worth the effort? ;) Or at least, that would be my question...

But I'm very glad to hear your uncertainty level has gone down. That was an extra source of stress that you did not need.

Careful. I craved salsa when I was prego with my first. For a long time, that's all I could hold down.

And she's the spiciest little girl you'd ever wanna meet!!

p.s. I didn't know buffalo had wings

How exciting!!!!!

I am so craving a beer. Weird. Because I do not like the taste of beer. Yet I see it in the fridge and I WANT IT.

Ah, good. Now you know about moving. I'm sure that's a load off your mind.

Can't believe your baby is going to be here in a month!

Like Chelle, I see the wine coolers in my fridge left over from some party we had, and it just makes me want one! My cravings seem to change every few weeks -- is that how yours go?

Hang in there, hon. I think that with each baby our bodies get more tired of being pregnant and hurt more. At least that's the way it was with me.

My sis-in-law is supposed to have a baby girl on May 28 but is already having pre-term contractions and is on bedrest. I sure hope the baby waits until it's save to come out.

Praying for you and your family. So sorry I don't get around here very often anymore but I know you understand why I don't. Life is kinda hard around here these days. Poor Jess was crying from her tummy pain again tonight and daddy is out of town this week. I gave her morphine and hugged her and helped her get her mind off it until the meds kicked in. She is such a trooper.

I'm off to bed and hope we both get some good sleep. With my fibro I get sore on whichever side I'm sleeping on if I stay on there too long. Not quite the same as when I was pregnant but at least back then I knew it would get better after having the baby. This time there's no baby... which is a good thing at this stage in my life! haha!

g'nite!

Hi! Sorry it's been awhile since I've stopped by. Your page looks great! I love it!

I can remember those days of just ACHING for the pregnancy to be OVER. And it's great that you won't have to move with a tiny baby!
