Money talk

Yesterday I spent $99.99 at the grocery store. My first thought was one of shock that I spent that much money at a grocery store that was not Costco. Then the number sunk in and I thought about how cool it was. At least I did not spend $999.99 in groceries for my growing boys. I have a feeling that my grocery budget numbers will have to rise that high when they get to be teenagers.

It is alarming - what I found more alarming was double that figure for groceries [but that was because we were in England and the exchange rate was cronic] I thought I'd have heart failure!
Cheers

There should be some sort of prize for hitting numbers right on like that! :)

Grocery prices have gone up rather alarmingly, something like 4 or 5 percent, which is ridiculous.

Wow, we are well over $10o at this point, I get thrilled if I hit close to it :-). But both my kids eat like they have never seen food before...

And they should totally give out prizes for numbers that are cool!

Two words: double coupons! I usually spend about $115 every six weeks, with milk, bread, and fruit/veggie runs occasionally in between, for four of us.

Well I feed a 17 year old step son and when you add diapers, formula, food, and all the "essentials" (cleaning supplies, cat litter and food, toilet paper....) I have to budget about $200 A WEEK!

And I don't even want to talk about GAS!!!
