Zephra, Shinga and Vicky were the winners of my fake contest. They all guessed the quote correctly, before I posted the comments which contained the answer. If you really want I will send out pictures of the kids but you will have to email me your addresses since I may be great at trivia but I can't guess addresses.
My fake contest and the fact that I finally finished my scarf after working on it for over a year (off and on) made me decide to throw a real contest. That is right, the prize is a magenta wool scarf hand knitted by yours truly. I am willing to ship international so all my non US readers feel free to enter. All you will have to do is enter one comment a day on each post that I write for the next week. That will give people plenty of time to get their name in if they so choose. That also means that I will have to come up with a post every day but I think I can handle it. All I ask is that the comment is more than a lame "hi". I would like a tiny bit of substance since I did spend many hours making the scarf. I will randomly draw names.

you are the weirdest. What have I created?????????????????????????????
Oooo the scarf is beautiful!!! I find scarves to take forever!!!
Cool contest!
Cute kiddo too (can't leave that unsaid!)
Good luck with your contest, that is a pretty scarf and I keep thinking I should learn how to knit.
Beautiful scarf! You did a great job. I once kitted my hubby some wool socks that also took a very long time to finish...just to find the time to do it is difficult! Your models are so sweet :).
Super cute scarf!! Love that last picture!
I'd like to win the scarf but only if the model comes with it. Just kidding. Seriously though where did you find such an adorable model?
Sorry I've not been over in a while but I've been having a bit of a pity party for myself these past few days...Today feels like a better day! So there is hope!
My husband and I always joke with the cashiers at Costco about the price of the kids since we send them on through with the grocery cart. You might look there if you are wanting some fresh young kids lol
The scarf is fabulous!
Can I win the scarf models? What do I have to do to be entered in that contest?
Love your Gap/scarf model!
You are really making me feel badly about trying to learn to knit and just leaving the needles in a drawer with yarn hanging off them...
the scarf is really pretty. Today is wednesday and I am just reading this but I see that there isn't a post for today. HOpefully youll put one up soon. And I'm back to my snow day.
BTW I want to learn to knit.
Wow, that is a pretty, pretty scarf! No way would I have given it away after spending all that time on it! I tried to learn how to knit once.. it lasted for about a week before I gave up on it.
Wow, do I sense a future as a child model?....
Quite the model you have there - adorable!
Thanks for voting on "steps on a lego" with me. Just for that, I am going to comment on your blog. BTW, cute kid.
I can't even hem pants. My husband is the seamster (would that be seam-ster instead of seamstress, who knows) of the family. I stink at crafting. Missed that gene from my crafty knitting grandmother. I collect scarves, though. Do you sell your lovely wares?
That's an awesome scarf. My mom makes scarves sometimes and so does my sister, but they are not so long, so complex, or so tightly knit! Yours is beautiful.
What a sweet idea! Can you apply my comment here onto some deserving soul who accidentally misses a day? Me, I'm lucky if I can get to the same blog once in a week these days.
Thanks so much for the supportive comment at my place this week - very much appreciated.
You did a beautiful job! That is a great-looking scarf.
