Grrr!

I think my kids are out to get me. Not only is Harry still a bit hit and miss with the potty training, but now Evan seems to want in on it too. He had an accident yesterday and had two today. One was mere moments after I asked him if he needed to go potty. Luckily this week is our downish week where I am not completely slammed with appointments, I am only kind of slammed with appointments. I am going to get our timer back out and have them going every hour. Maybe that will drive it into their brains. I can always hope.

On a nicer note I have been able to get out into the garden. After I posted those lovely pictures of my bulbs coming up it snowed. Boo! Then later in the week we hit a record 86 degrees! Woo hoo! This weekend we managed to find a source of compost (at a local big box store that I hate shopping at, go figure) and other organic gardening goodies. If you don't want to use chemical fertalizers in your garden here in Kansas it can be tough to find stuff. A nice nursery that was close to my house stopped selling compost and I was rather miffed. The big box store that I can tolerate shopping at had nada, so I took a chance and looked at theone I hate shopping at. Now I am planning on slowly piling on the good stuff into my front beds. The former owner was of the let's use shredded trees as mulch school of gardening. I want something that will actually break down into the soil and enrich it instead of just sitting there forever. Hopefully we can get the front beds looking nice.

Wow, 86 is warmer than it has been here even! That's great you've been gardening. What do you do with the boys while you're working? I needz some tipz! :)

Ooo you should start your own compost!!! We have so much waste as parents of young children.

86 is so jealous inducing for me too!

I am giddy with excitement at working out in the yard. I go out every day and just sit and think about what i want to do. Now I just need money.....

Hope that timer helps. One day it will all be a distant memory, kinda like Spring is for me... no signs of Spring yet in NY

86 degrees--Wow. Something special about early spring and dreaming about future, wonderous gardens. Last year Mike was so smitten with garden fever that he planted the main garden in April. Then the monsoon rains, they did come, washing out most of the seeds. Best for us here on the coast to wait for May or June.
But have discovered the fun of tub gardens. No weeding! Had lettuce all winter and even a little brocoli we managed to save from those pesky white moths.

The garden sounds like it will be so nice come summer. I composted all our kitchen veggie/fruit scraps all winter by throwing it on the garden plot. Then I turned it under this spring. But I also find it easy to find good compost at the nurseries too.

I have a black thumb. I wish I were good in the yard.
Thumbs up on the timer idea!

I just looked at your baby ticker - wow! Only 52 days to go....

You are looking very trim in the photo you posted, mostly baby and very little of you has increased which is the way to go! Who knows, you may be lighter than your preggy start point when it's born! That happened to me with Yoshi but not with Harry!

Spring is sort of coming here. We have snow on the garden still but around the edges it has melted and there are little tiny bulb shoots sticking up about half an inch out of the soil. Exciting!!
